Fran Simon commented that we didn't have a "Contact Us" page on our New Marketing Summit website. Great point, Fran. We'll put that up in place by Wednesday of this week.

The purpose of Project Dogfood is to listen to a community, discover what matters, and implement it. We have some other gems in the conversation stream, and I'll put some of those up here shortly.

Fran also asked us questions about the content of the specific event, and I wrote a response to the comment in the original thread.

What do you think? Contact Us page makes sense for any company, right?

Yes, you gotta have a contact page. BUT, it must be monitored by a human. The company needs to reply to contacts in a timely manner.

Seconding David. Human interaction is very important.

I may be in the minority here, but I appreciate the auto-responder messages I get from the Contact Us pages. That way, I know that at least the contact email address goes somewhere.

Refreshing the NMS page like mad... waiting for the new feature to go live...

I agree, too, with David and Brad.

Especially on the point about the auto-responder message. I like it, too, if it includes the original text of my message. I often forget what I wrote, otherwise.

With that said, multiple forms of contact are good. I like to have an email address even if there's a contact form. Whatever I want to say might require the use of a file, which contact forms don't always support.

I believe a company should make finding directions to it's office easy enough to do while you are driving your car with one hand holding your iPhone in the other.
